Landscape Designer & Sales – Entry Level

Job Summary:

The landscape designer must be thoroughly familiar with designing all aspects of the landscape construction to include, site analysis, grading, drainage, plant selection, hardscape (patios, walkways, walls, etc) and able to design using CAD, Dynascapes, or Vector Works. The landscape designer must have excellent analytical skills, customer service and be able to do take-offs. The landscape designer monitors the installation of the project and interacts with clients, subcontractors and supplies. On a company level, they will interact with the owner, production team, and office staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

· 3+ years of design experience (college or previous employer)

· Extensive knowledge of plant material and hardscape products

· Posses a portfolio of computer/ drawn designs with actual site photos

· Able to calculate related supplies / materials for estimates

· Able to translate designs into working drawings / documents for field personnel

· Understand hours in terms of estimating and efficiency of a job

· Ability to follow blue prints and layout jobs with production team

· Ensure company production standards are met

· Ability to work with minimal supervision from supervisors, but knows when to ask for assistance

· Valid Driver’s License

· Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Sell design / build / maintenance jobs from $2,000 to $20,000

· Completes the sales process from start to finish

· Coordinates job specifics with production and accounting personnel

· Interfaces with client and ensures all clients concerns are addressed and keeps company values first

· Continually searches for new vendors to ensure our pricing is competitive and accurate

· Ensures jobs are kept on schedule and under budget

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
